DLI Professional Development Sessions Set for December

Online programs offer guidance on marketing, management and diversification

LAUREL, Md. — To bring cleaning professionals together to share their experiences and grow their businesses, the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) recently announced its offerings for December. The offerings include a webinar, virtual programs and more.

Online Presentations

On Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. EST, DLI will host the webinar “Helping Dry Cleaners Discover Additional Revenue” on Zoom. The event will be presented by Mike Nesbit, president of MW Cleaners, DLI Past President 2017-2018, and 2024 DLI Hall of Fame Award recipient.

Nesbit will share his vision on “how drycleaners can capitalize on the 25-billion-dollar garment return industry, e-commerce, and providing service to garment rental companies with limited to no capital required.”

DLI has produced more than 150 webinar presentations and archived them in its Online Webinar Library. Program topics include marketing, management, diversifications, and more aspects of running a successful drycleaning business. Full access to the recordings and live presentations is available for all DLI members.

In addition to December’s live presentation, DLI will host its monthly Membership Orientation program on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Not just for DLI members, the organization says this interactive presentation provides a comprehensive overview of the benefits of joining DLI.

Other Offerings

On Friday, Dec. 20 DLI’s Marketing Lab will bring cleaners together to discuss marketing trends and effective solutions. Recent meetings covered the value of trigger-based marketing, what some members are doing to keep customers happy, promoting additional services, and effective online advertising. December’s meeting’s topic will allow participants to explore how peers are using effective couponing promotions.
